Iron ore mud water is a suspended liquid containing a certain amount of fine mud particles in the water. It has a certain viscosity and is difficult to stratify even if left standing for a long time. Polymer flocculants are water-soluble polymers. When mixed with mud water, they can destroy the stability of the mud water due to their functions of bridging, netting, adsorption, and electrical neutralization. The particles quickly condense and settle from the water, thereby achieving the mud-water separation effect. If used with dehydration equipment, the tailings flocculate through polymer flocculants. After being dehydrated by the dehydration equipment, the tailings slurry can be dry discharged, dry stacked or comprehensively utilized.
Anionic polyacrylamide is a water-soluble polymer. Because its molecular chain contains a certain number of polar groups, it can adsorb solid particles suspended in water to bridge between particles or aggregate particles to form large flocs through charge neutralization. Therefore, anionic polyacrylamide can accelerate the sedimentation of particles in suspension, and has very obvious effects on accelerating solution clarification and promoting filtration.
